HIGH ABOVE offers supplementary casual classes and training options to improve your skills outside of regular classes. They’re a perfect complement to your existing class schedule or can be used if you have more focused goals in mind.
Flexibility Splits (casual class)This is a deep stretch class, focusing on proper cueing, active flexibility and clean lines. It’s specially designed to lengthen muscles, increase active flexibility and range of motion and help achieve a flat or over split, middle splits and pancakes. This class is perfect for dancers and aerialist looking to improve their lines but is equally beneficial for anyone looking to unlock tight muscles within their lower body. It’s open to all levels of flexibility - you will be guided through a series of stretches which will be adaptable for your level.
Level: All levels welcome. Work at your own pace.
What to wear: Warm comfortable clothing
Flexibility Backbends (casual class)This class is specially designed to increase range of motion and overall flexibility of upper back and shoulders, hips and neck. You’ll learn the correct techniques, alignment, postures and relative information to help achieve better flexibility within backbends. Backbends are challenging, we recommend starting with Aerial Yoga if you are looking to increase shoulder flexibility and splits for hips and legs. We will work towards unlocking different backbend poses and tricks per session including bridges, forearm stands, needles. stretches which will be adaptable for your level.
Level: Intermediate and above
What to wear: Warm comfortable clothing.
Balances (casual class)Balances focuses on a range of different acrobatic style tricks. Incorporating aerial hammock balance, wall assisted balances and free standing balances and transitions. We cover a range of different balances from Headstands, Forearm stands, Shoulder stands, handstands and other unique balances. Every session will incorporate mobility work and conditioning exercises to build strength and range of motion to unlock the balances.
Level: Intermediate and above
What to wear:comfortable activewear
Need to spend time perfecting moves you’re learning during class. Our practice session are perfect to work on your own training. Open to everyone, you don't have to be a current student, however for your own safety, you must have attended a previous lessons related to the apparatus you’re training on and always work within your limits.
Private CoachingWe also offer different coaching options to meet your individual goals. Coaching across any apparatus of your choice pole fitness, Aerial fitness, flexibility, floorwork and more. We cater for all level; from beginners looking for extra support to elite competition training.
Privates can be shared by up to 3 people. Extra $20 per head ($80 for 1/ $100 for 2/ $120 for 3).
Online coaching options include video critique, online skype sessions, choreography for full and partial routines.
